In his capacity as Division CEO of ICT Division, Simon has been overseeing Ezecom in operations since 2021 and was formally appointed CEO of Ezecom in December 2023. Simon is a vastly experienced senior executive with a proven track record in successfully leading and driving organisations within the Telecoms industry. Along with his executive roles, Simon has held Independent Directorship and Board roles (including Chairman of Board Audit, Risk & Compliance Committees).

He has worked for many of the large international telecom groups including Millicom, Axiata, Hutchison and British Telecom and has worked in emerging markets in Asia (including Cambodia) along with developed markets; UK, USA, Australia, Hong Kong, Malaysia & Singapore.

Simon has a proven track record of working in demanding situations, gained through leading several start-ups, and successful turn-around of poorly performing businesses. He has led several businesses restructuring and re-financing projects. He is a respected leader who has both the drive to succeed as well as being a great people manager in equal measure.

Simon is a dual British & Australian national with an MBA in Business from the UK and currently resides in Cambodia.

Proven track record in driving product development, sales & distribution strategies, and brand positioning. Deep understanding of the Southeast Asian market with a focus on Malaysia, Myanmar, and Cambodia. Extensive experience in the Telecom sector (Maxis, Motorola, Digi, Ooredoo) complemented by strategic insights from the Banking industry (American Express).

Successfully transitioned from Director of Consumer Sales at Cellcard (Cambodia, 2017) to current Division CCO role, demonstrating a strong commitment to growth and leadership.

Asitha joined the Ezecom team as the Chief Information Officer in September 2020. While he remains a techie at heart, he increasingly stresses the need for Technology and Product Innovation to become the key enabler in unlocking new business opportunities and delivering direct bottom line impact for the business. After joining Ezecom, he is currently overlooking the IT operations, IT Security, Business Intelligence, Product Development and Technical Pre-Sales.

Asitha is a seasoned executive who has provided effective digital transformation leadership to multiple organizations over his past 17 years of experience with 11+ years at senior management levels in multiple countries. He has been involved in business-critical assignments in his illustrious career which is backed by his strong academic profile.

Prior to his appointment with Ezecom, he was the Chief Information Officer for Crystal Martin Cambodia Ltd where he was accountable for the overall ICT and Digital transformation of the local operation in alignment with their global strategy. Before moving into Cambodia, Asitha was holding the position as the Group Head of IT Projects for LAUGFS Holding Ltd in Sri Lanka. He was able to lead the IT innovations team to win an award for Sri Lanka at the Asia Pacific ICT Awards in 2016 held in Taiwan for an IoT product. He also had his footprint at the United Nations World Food Program – UAE and at a USA based BPO operation in Sri Lanka.

Asitha, is a Member of the British Computer Society (MBCS), A Member of the Sri Lanka Computer Society (MCSSL), Accredited member of the Australia Computer Society (ACS) and holds a BSc in Computer Systems & Networking from the Sri Lanka Institute of information Technology along with a MSc in Project Management from the Birmingham City University UK. Additionally, he also holds a Higher Diploma in Management from Edexcel, UK. His Professional certifications includes MCSA, ITIL V4 and PMP.
